A workshop producing 15 construction kits, each assembled by participants into a wearable LED display with 256 LEDs in three colours (green, red, orange). The boards used an Atmel ATmega8 microprocessor, shift registers for LED control, a USB connector for programming and battery charging, and a radio module for device-to-device communication.
The kits were designed so participants could complete them within workshop time and leave with a working, wearable object they had built themselves.
