Come Closer

An interactive spatial installation that reacts to the presence and movement of visitors.

Come Closer is a spatial installation that responds to the proximity of its visitors. As you approach, the piece changes — subtly at first, then more dramatically — creating a dialogue between the visitor's body and the object in space.

The work explores the threshold between observer and participant: at what distance does watching become interacting? The installation uses custom-built proximity sensing electronics to track visitors in real time, feeding into a generative audio-visual response.

The title is both an instruction and a question.
