LEDBRIDGE
The central open-source software for controlling LED displays — modular input, filtering, and output to a wide range of hardware.
Ledbridge is the main software for controlling LED displays. Originally developed in 2008 to replace proprietary Windows-only control software and bring LED matrix control to Linux, it has grown into a modular system supporting a wide range of inputs and outputs.
Inputs: AWT screen capture (macOS), Aurinko streams, shared memory, V4L video capture, X11 screen capture, and test patterns. Filters: crop, dedistort, rotate, scale, stencil. Outputs: Bobo/bobogadetto USB devices, linear 4-bit matrices, shared memory, T9 LED matrices, VNC servers, and WS2811/WS2812 LED strings via Arduino.
Supplementary tools: ledfb (framebuffer emulation), ledmplayer (MPlayer integration), ledtext (text animation generation).
