A cosy reading and listening corner for a primary school, designed and built with the children.

Lese & Hörbuchecke (Reading & Audiobook Corner) is a dedicated space for reading and listening, built for and with primary school children in Vienna.
The project began with a series of workshops where children were asked what their ideal reading space would look and feel like. Their answers — a cave, a treehouse, something soft, something you could hide in — shaped the design.
The result is a low wooden structure with cushions, integrated headphone sockets for audiobook listening, and built-in shelving for books. It sits in the corner of a classroom and has become one of the most used spots in the room.
