The Thermobooth is a photobooth built on a social design principle: it only takes a photo when two or more people are in physical contact. For V2, DKIA handled the interaction and interface design in collaboration with taliaYstudio and Osram.
Captured images are printed immediately via a thermal printer, and can also be shared by email or Facebook. A web application lets users select their preferred photos and adjust hardware settings. The system uses a Kinect for detection, alongside OLEDs, an Arduino, and a thermoprinter.
