Voting Modules

Seven interactive voting modules for the Bank für Gemeinwohl — a physical interface that turns a window into a ballot.

Seven voting modules created for the Bank für Gemeinwohl (Bank for Common Good) initiative. Each module works by capacitive sensing: a logo is displayed on a window pane, and behind the pane sits a layer of metal foil connected to an Arduino's input pin. The Arduino continuously measures capacitance — when a finger is placed on the glass, the capacitance increases rapidly and triggers the counter.

The displays are 7-segment, the enclosures are acrylic, and the interaction is immediate: touch the logo to vote.
